On My Recent Move to Dubai

Change is often a catalyst for growth and new beginnings. Recently, my family and I embarked on a significant change by moving to Dubai. This vibrant city, known for its dynamic blend of tradition and modernity, offers a wealth of opportunities and experiences. In this blog post, I want to share the reasons behind our move, the choices we made for our family, and how I am navigating my work life, both virtually and locally.

Dubai is a city that has always fascinated me. Its rapid development, cultural diversity, and reputation as a global hub for business and innovation were compelling factors in our decision. The move to Dubai promised not only professional opportunities but also a rich cultural experience for our family. From a professional standpoint, Dubai’s strategic location and business-friendly environment provide a perfect base for expanding my coaching and consulting services. The city is a melting pot of cultures, bringing together people from all over the world, which aligns perfectly with my background of living in several countries and speaking multiple languages.

For my family, Dubai offers a safe and enriching environment. The city is known for its high standard of living, excellent educational institutions, and a wide range of recreational activities. We wanted our children to grow up in a place where they could experience a mix of cultures, receive a top-tier education, and have access to world-class amenities. The decision to move was also influenced by the desire for a fresh start and new experiences. Change can be challenging, but it also brings about personal growth and new perspectives. Dubai, with its unique blend of old and new, offers a dynamic environment where we can all learn and grow together.

Work-wise, the transition has been smooth thanks to technology. I now mostly work through Zoom, conducting virtual coaching sessions and consulting with clients from around the world. This flexibility allows me to maintain my existing client base while expanding my reach in the local market. Working virtually has its advantages, including the ability to connect with clients globally and the flexibility to manage my time effectively. However, I also value the importance of local engagement. Since moving to Dubai, I have been exploring opportunities to connect with the local community through workshops, seminars, and networking events. Engaging with clients face-to-face adds a personal touch to my coaching practice and allows me to build deeper, more meaningful relationships.

Our move to Dubai marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for my family and my career. The city’s vibrant culture, strategic location, and myriad of opportunities provide the perfect backdrop for growth and development. While I continue to work virtually with clients worldwide, I am also embracing the chance to establish a local presence and contribute to the dynamic community here.
